Shane Borthwick | Founder, Financial Advisor
After finishing university, Shane and his wife Stephanie stayed in New Brunswick to pursue their careers and raise a family, settling on the coast near St. George. As an entrepreneur with experience throughout the Maritime Provinces, Shane holds an undergraduate business degree from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton as well as leadership training from the Harvard Kennedy School in Boston. He has completed investment and insurance training through the Canadian Securities Institute as well as the Sustainable Investment Professional Certificate through the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University in Montreal.
Actively involved with local charitable and volunteer organizations throughout southwestern New Brunswick including the United Way, Food Bank, Emergency Planning & Preparedness Committee, Parent School Support Committee, he is committed to making a difference. When he’s not helping clients, Shane, Stephanie and their two young daughters enjoy boating, gardening, tending their hens, cooking, traveling and time with family and friends.
Marcie Lewis | Marketing, Client Service
Marcie grew up in the beautiful province of Prince Edward Island. After making the trek across the Confederation Bridge to obtain her business degree from UNB Fredericton, Marcie settled in Nova Scotia with her husband Jeff, working in marketing and business development with a local municipal government. Within this role, Marcie worked closely with the small business community, connecting entrepreneurs towards collaborative marketing and development efforts. It was within this role that Marcie found her love of connecting and helping people as well as a passion for small business. Eventually Marcie, Jeff and their two young children found their way back to New Brunswick where they currently reside in the town of Rothesay.
When Marcie isn’t helping clients she enjoys photography, travelling to PEI and Nova Scotia to be with friends and family, and keeping up with her energetic children.
Jeremy Ackerson | Financial Advisor
Jeremy grew up in Saint John and after completing his undergraduate business degree at UNBSJ, decided to stay in his beloved hometown to begin his career. Following University he completed investment training through the Canadian Securities Institute and the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP). Jeremy has several years of experience as a Financial Advisor, helping families and individuals in the greater Saint John area define what is important to them and devise a plan to achieve what matters.
In their spare time, Jeremy and his wife Chen strive to spend as much time outdoors as possible by enjoying activities such as hiking, biking, and kayaking. Jeremy also enjoys gardening, traveling, and learning Chinese from his wife.
Tim Wilson | Employee Benefits Advisor
Tim grew up in the Kennebecasis Valley and left home to pursue undergraduate and post graduate degrees, only to return to where his roots are. Having been a professional entrepreneur, and after working with small business owners for many years with CFIB, Tim gained an in-depth knowledge of the challenges that face the job creators of our economy. He saw the need to help them achieve best practices, and he continues in this pursuit as an Employee Benefits Advisor specializing in Canada’s #1 Employee Benefits Plan, the Chambers Plan.
Beyond the profession, Tim is big on family. As one of seven siblings, there is always a family birthday or celebration underway with lots of food and laughs. He has volunteered with Out of the Cold Men’s Shelter, Coldest Night of the Year Fundraiser, and has dedicated many years in volunteer capacities and outreaches with his local church. With what little free time he has left, you will find him in the stands cheering on his son as the KV Varsity Crusaders basketball team battle on the hardwood.
